Loving Mount Maculot

December 1, 2012, Saturday – It was another usual Saturday for most of the people. But for me, my cousin and two close friends, it was a very special day. It will be the day we will make our first official climb.

Our goal : Reach the campsite and the ROCKIES of Mount Maculot in Barangay Siete, Cuenca, Batangas.

09:30 – 10:00 Dropped by in 7-Eleven at the drop off point to buy some food and stuff

10:00 – 10:05 Rode the tricycle from 7 Eleven to Barrio Siete, the starting point of the trek.

The total cost of the trek ( fare, food and buko juice is Php 650.00 ).

And here are the photos to show how wonderful God’s creation is. It was a tough trek, tiring, muscle aching and challenging but it was worth it. Just like following God’s ways, it is not easy, but the reward is more than what we deserve.

(L – R) Elaine, Shiela, Me and Ate Diday at the 7 Eleven Convenience Store in Cuenca before heading to Barrio Siete.

At the Mountaineer’s Stop Over Sari Sari Store at the foot of Mount Maculot. All fresh and bursting with energy.

Here we go, Maculot, here we come!

Halfway up the trek, a stop over with buko juice to freshen up.

Few more minutes before the campsite. And look closely at the body of water behind me and Ate Day.

The ROCKIES of Mount Maculot

At the ROCKIES, I felt closer to God more than I have ever been. And I believed that God had taught me a very wonderful lesson that day.

Truly, with GOD, nothing is impossible.
