Loving Mount Maculot

December 1, 2012, Saturday – It was another usual Saturday for most of the people. But for me, my cousin and two close friends, it was a very special day. It will be the day we will make our first official climb.

Our goal : Reach the campsite and the ROCKIES of Mount Maculot in Barangay Siete, Cuenca, Batangas.

09:30 – 10:00 Dropped by in 7-Eleven at the drop off point to buy some food and stuff

10:00 – 10:05 Rode the tricycle from 7 Eleven to Barrio Siete, the starting point of the trek.

13:30 – 15:00 Trek down to Barrio Siete

15:00 – 16: 30 Jeepney ride to Lipa to take the Bus to Manila

16: 30 – 17:00 Eating at McDonalds

17:00 – 20:00 Travel time to Manila

The total cost of the trek ( fare, food and buko juice is Php 650.00 ).

And here are the photos to show how wonderful God’s creation is. It was a tough trek, tiring, muscle aching and challenging but it was worth it. Just like following God’s ways, it is not easy, but the reward is more than what we deserve.

At the ROCKIES, I felt closer to God more than I have ever been. And I believed that God had taught me a very wonderful lesson that day.
